For the first time ever, scientists have found the genome of one species inside the genome of another's.

Lifeforms on earth evolve due to DNA mutations and copying errors. Sometimes, genes will actually transfer from one species to another. But this is the first observed case of the complete genome of one species showing up in the genome of another unrelated species.

The implications for disease-fighting and the study of evolution are immense. Read more at the University of Rochester's website.
